You have most of your life ahead of you. You have so many questions to answer and decisions to make. There is so much information and so many opinions thrown your way every second through social media, parents, teachers, your boss, your friends. It is a confusing time. It is a critical time. Decisions you make now will set the course for the rest of your life. No pressure or anything, right?
I remember being your age. It was a different era, but the feelings are the same. I remember graduating high school and then college and having no clue what would be my next step. I made some good choices. I made some mistakes. I want to share those mistakes and more importantly some simple solutions and tips so you don’t have to make the same mistakes.
I also remember feeling like older people always had an agenda. They wanted to boss me around and keep me from doing anything fun. Sometimes I wanted to ask questions but my pride got in the way. I want to be someone you can get information from and ask questions of knowing that “I ain’t yo Mama”.
I am also not a saint (Thank you Lord that YouTube was not around in the late 80’s!) so not here to judge you, scold you or tell you you can’t do something. It’s your life. I just want to pass along a little wisdom to help you have an easier one.
Stuff I Wish I Had Known will focus on several major life decisions, some ways to simplify your life and things to do to have a better life. Some of the categories are: career, finance, relationships and emotions, health, pets (just cause I like them and its my blog), and stuff I am glad I bought. I may add more categories depending on what you have questions on.
So sign up, check in and send me some ideas of what you are interested in discussing.
I promise no lectures, just some good advice from your BOF (Best Older Friend).
